We are currently seeking a principal engineer capable of owning, driving, and implementing strategic features of the Aveksa solution. This person should have a passion for building high quality and innovative software and must be able to design software components, write functional and detailed design specification, and collaborate within the development organization to deliver high quality and highly scalable software that meets the business requirements of our customers. This individual should have strong experience designing and implementing enterprise software and 3 tier Java based web applications.

• Create feature story-boards, functional specifications, and detailed design docs
• Implement features in a 3-tier Java / Oracle based application
• Work with or even team lead small development teams on the implementation of strategic features

• 5+ years of enterprise software development experience
• 5+ years of Java programming experience.
• Experience working with databases (Oracle) a must. Proven track record producing clean, scalable and efficient, high quality code.
• Experience developing multi-tiered applications with J2EE technologies.
• Experience with some / all of the following technologies: Hibernate, Oracle DB, Tomcat / JBoss / Websphere / Weblogic, Java servlets, JSR168, Linux Strong team player, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must understand and embrace effective software engineering processes.
